There are a number of important public information notices for communities in Norfolk to be aware of this week. 

1. Road closure in Norwich

The Avenues and Christchurch Road junction will be closed to through traffic while road resurfacing works are carried out.

The works are expected to take two days to complete, starting from March 25.

A signed diversion route will be in place and access to properties will be maintained.

The work will cost £26,000 and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.

2. Wissey Bridge Closure

From March 25 the Wissey Bridge on the B1160 College Road in Wissington will be closed to vehicles for a week while maintenance, resurfacing and lining work is carried out.

The bridge is outside the British Sugar Beet Factory between the Parishes of Wereham and Methwold.

A fully signed diversion route will be in place via B1160 Lynn Road, A10 Main Road, A1122 Bexwell Road, A134 Dereham Road, Lynn Road and back on to the B1160 College Road.

The work, costing £6,000, will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors Tarmac.

3. Claims to the estate of Barbara Jean Wink

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Barbara Jean Wink of Two Acres Care Home in Taverham, who died on February 23, is asked to send a written notice to the address below on or before May 20.

After this date, the estate will be distributed as per the notices received.

4. Application for alcohol licence

Mark Quinton has applied for a licence to supply alcohol in the Castle Cafe in King Street, New Buckenham, from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 11.30am and 10.30pm.

Representations to this application must be made in writing by April 3 to the Licensing Team, Breckland Council, Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham, NR19 1EE. 

5. Goods Vehicle Operator's Licence

John Andrew Killett and Donna Maria Killett trading as The Cheese Truckle of 18 Binyon Gardens in Taverham are applying for a licence to use Unit 15 at Shepherds Business Park in Lenwade as an operating centre for two goods vehicles.

Owners or occupiers of land near the operating centre, who believe their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF.
