The rounders was won by Acle, with Diss runners-up. North Elmham and Wymondham were joint third.

In the girls' tug-of-war, Dereham won with Attleborough runners-up. Dereham go forward to eastern area event on Saturday, June 16. In the boys' tug-of-war, Harleston won, with Dereham second and North Elmham in third place. Harleston qualify for the eastern area event. All teams will go forward to the rally.

The farm event takes place tomorrow, registration is from 9.30am. Dairy stockjudgers may go straight to Park Farm (left-hand turning just past the pub on the Diss to Attleborough Road. Everyone else must register at Lodge Farm and bring a current membership card. Do not park on the grass, please.

The teams entered for the efficiency with safety should note that John Deere 7710 tractors will be used, with a Kverneland LB84 5 furrow plough and Lely Polynet 4m airdrill. Read the competition rules and if you are not dressed in appropriate clothing, you will not be able to take part.

The eastern area stockjudging takes place on May 20 at Essex showground.

National YFC training are offering the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. It has three levels - bronze (14 years and over); silver (15 years and over) and gold (16 years and over).
