Would you like to have your say over the future of Norfolk YFC? On Thursday, the executive annual meeting takes place in Easton College Leisure Centre at 7.30pm. As well as talking through the issues facing the YFC movement, this is also the night when the new county committee for the year ahead will be elected.

Members should note that anyone can attend this and other county meetings, but only two representatives from your club can vote. For more information contact the county office on 01603 731307.

Looking ahead to the forthcoming months there are several important dates coming up. The very first Norfolk YFC gift and craft night will be taking place on Friday, October 13 in Cringleford Village Hall, with doors open from 7.30pm. This is being held as a fundraising event for Norfolk YFC, and at this early stage, looks set to include a number of stalls selling various crafts and gifts such as jewellery, home-made cards, wood- turned items and cosmetics. If you visit Norwich on October 14, you will be in for a big treat as Norfolk YFC will be constructing a farm outside the Forum as part of the Norfolk Food Festival.

The annual harvest festival, held in conjunction with the RNAA at Norwich Cathedral, will take place on Sunday, October 15 at 3pm. Refreshments, which will be provided by Norfolk YFC members, will be available after the service.

Moving on to one of the biggest county social events of the YFC calendar, the county dinner dance will be held on Saturday, November 11 at the Open Venue on Bank Plain. Tickets will be on sale shortly from social chairman, Sam Steggles, on 07775 678782.
