Construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall has completed work on an extensive development to revitalise the National Construction College's East campus in Norfolk.
The development in the village of Bircham Newton is based around two new steel-framed accommodation blocks with 78 en-suite rooms. The project also included the construction of an energy centre housing a sustainable biomass boiler that will power the new buildings.
The National Construction College (NCC) is the training arm of CITB-ConstructionSkills, and is Europe's largest construction training provider.
Andy Walder, director of the NCC, said: 'We want to ensure that our students have the best possible learning experience and have access to modern and contemporary facilities suited to the 21st century.
'We take the welfare and well-being of our students extremely seriously. Our two new accommodation blocks will enable us to deliver excellence in construction training in a safe, comfortable and attractive environment.'
Gavin Napper, area director for Morgan Sindall, said: 'We've thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at National Construction College to upgrade their facilities. The new campus provides students with first-class facilities to match the superb training which they will receive.'
