Norwich International Airport will run daily flights to Cardiff airport following a deal with regional airline LinksAir.

The Cardiff to Norwich service will begin on Monday April 20, with flights departing South Wales at 10.20am and arriving at 11.25am. The return service will run from 2.20pm, and 1.20pm on a Friday.

Andrew Bell, chief executive of the airport, said: 'The introduction of the Cardiff route and the new onward connection to Anglesey is another positive step in the airport's strategy to deliver regional connectivity to both leisure and business travelers as it will not only benefit those working within the energy sector but other industries and those wishing to travel to visit friends and relatives in Wales.'

In November, travel operator Thomson re-introduced flights to Menorca from Norwich International Airport. The weekly service will operate every Saturday between May and October.

Self-made billionaire Sir Peter Rigby bought the transport hub from regional airport operator Omniport in an undisclosed deal in June last year which saw Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council hanging onto their stakes in the business.
