The Princess Royal will be visiting this year's Royal Norfolk Show, it was announced today.

Show officials have confirmed the princess will be at the show on June 30.

She will be attending the AGM of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (RASC) in her capacity as vice president and will take over the role of president from The Duke of Edinburgh at the meeting.

It is also expected that The Princess Royal will tour other areas of the show during her visit.

Richard Jewson, Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk and this year's president of the Royal Norfolk Show said: 'It is always a special day when we have a royal visitor at the show and we will all be looking forward to welcoming The Princess Royal and putting together a tour of this very special Norfolk occasion.'

The Princess Royal last visited the Royal Norfolk Show in 1990. This year's show takes place on June 29 and 30.
