Norfolk/Norwich based recruitment business, Castle Personnel Group, is expanding its business due to the boom of the construction industry, with the introduction of a specialist division Trades UK.

Currently standing at £80 billion, confidence is continuing to soar in this market each year, predominantly due to a healthy economy and investment.

And the future opportunities for Norwich and the surrounding areas are endless. Local councils are working on a bid for £70 million of government funding, and more than 37,000 new homes around Norwich will create more than 35,000 jobs over the next few years.

It is this activity rise and boost in the construction industry that fuelled Castle Personnel's desire to meet the changing needs and demands of the local area and offer a specialised recruitment service.

Castle introduced Trades UK, a dedicated recruitment division to serve the needs of the construction industry in June. Trades UK will source and supply temporary, contract and permanent personnel from carpenters, plumbers and labourers to site foremen, planners and project managers.

To drive forward Trades UK, Castle has brought Daniel Taylor on to the team. He has direct experience in the industry so can offer a concentration of knowledge and expertise. Daniel has worked as a project consultant and, more recently, for a specialist search company focused on construction trades, where he became one of the company's youngest divisional managers.

“We have recently seen a growth in the construction market in the local region,” said Liz Bunn, managing director of the Castle Group.

“We recognised the need to meet the new demands of our clients and candidates and, with Daniel's skills and enthusiasm, I'm sure that our specialist division dedicated to serve the needs of this sector will grow rapidly. In the pas,t Daniel has always been a corner stone on which organisations have grown. It's now his aim to develop Trades UK into a nationally-recognised brand.”
