Property group Arnolds is to target the market for commercial buildings in the New Anglia enterprise zone by opening a new office in Lowestoft.

Arnolds said it will open a new office at Orbis Energy Centre to 'take advantage of increased demand for property from businesses attracted by the zone's favourable conditions'.

The announcement comes barely a week after the government revealed that the proposed zone for Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft will go ahead to help promote new businesses and create new jobs through tax incentives and a more favourable planning regime.

Arnolds said that while its plans to open at the Orbis Energy Centre were on the table before the zone was approved by ministers, the decision to go ahead with its new office depended on the New Anglia bid being accepted.

'We already operate throughout the new enterprise zone, with instructions to market Beacon Park in Gorleston and Wolseley Commercial Park, Mobbs Way in Oulton Broad,' said Guy Gowing, Arnolds' managing partner.

'We recognised that there is a need to act quickly to ensure the new zone is successful in attracting investment, and facilitating the creation and marketing of quality, accessible commercial buildings will be a big part of that.

'There will be a need for support in all aspects of commercial property, from land and development to planning, surveying and property management. As a complete property service, Arnolds offers all of these, and we felt it was the right move to establish a physical presence in the new enterprise zone.'

The new Arnolds office will open on 18th October 2011.
