Food producer Pinguin Foods Ltd has announced it will axe 34 jobs at a Lincolnshire factory. But the company refused to comment on the future of its King's Lynn factory.

The company is going through a consultation period over the 34 positions at its Boston operation and will make a decision by mid December.

The company currently employs 55 people at its Marsh Lane site.

The company, which is based on Scania Way in King's Lynn said it was 'under a lot of pressure' in its market place and was looking to streamline services to ensure they are as cost-effective as possible.

The company produces frozen vegetables, fruit and convenience meals. The firm operates another site in Bourne.
