A fitness app which aims to reward people for staying fit has been selected for a national growth programme.

Norwich-based Fit Link is among 11 start-ups chosen by UKactive for its ActiveLab accelerator which aims to speed up development at companies with innovative solutions to physical inactivity.

The 12-week scheme is backed by Public Health England as well as international tech firms Jonas Software and Life Fitness and will offer training and support for the firms.

Fit Link founder Paul Gosnell said: 'I believe UKactive particularly liked our workplace wellness solution which is growing from strength to strength and already has a handful of clients signed up and well on their way to being fit, healthy and happy companies. ActiveLab will give us exposure to mentors, events, partners and investors alike, so the next three months are set to be an exciting phase for Fit Link.'
