As the end of 2017 draws nearer, an organisation offering support to growing businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk is marking its busiest year to date.

The New Anglia Growth Hub has helped companies access almost £2.8m in grant funding over the past 12 months to grow their operations, employ new staff, reach new markets and improve productivity.

Meanwhile its team of advisers has provided 3,700 hours of face-to-face support to more than 700 small and medium businesses.

This year the growth hub, set up in 2014, has helped more than 100 projects gain a combined £1m of support through the Small Grant Scheme, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

It has also helped 19 larger projects secure grants of between £25,000 and £500,000 through the New Anglia LEP's Growing Business Fund. In total £1.8m in funding has been secured, which will create 200 full-time equivalent jobs in the region.
