A three-year £8m scheme to support the farming and food industry in the east will be launched as part of a series of seminars this month.
The project will help businesses to tackle issues ranging from new product development, the promotion of local and regional food and how to develop new international markets for their products.
Organised by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) the first seminar takes place at the Suffolk show on June 1, then on June 16 at the East of England Show in Peterborough and, on June 28, at the Royal Norfolk Show.
EEDA predicts that in the next seven years the agriculture and food economy in the region will develop at a faster rate than at anytime in the last 30 years.
