THE founders of East Anglian facilities care company Heritage Contract Services have teamed up once more, 20 years after going their separate ways.

Bob Prior first started a business using the spare bedroom at his home in Bungay in early 1989 and six months later was joined Ray Bond, a former work colleague at a national contracts services company, and Heritage Contract Services was the result.

The company grew steadily by winning contracts throughout Norfolk and Suffolk by providing high quality daily office and factory cleaning and later expanded its range by providing washroom services, window cleaning and garment and linen rental.

Bob left the business in 1993 to pursue other interests but he and Ray remained close friends, charting each other's successes. Last year, Ray decided that it was time for the company, which is now based in Norwich and operates throughout the eastern counties, to enter another phase of expansion.

He said: 'I had to find the best person to help me achieve these goals and Bob was the first person to come to mind; he has a wealth of experience, fully understands that we are constantly seeking to provide the highest standards, knows the business inside out and our individual attributes compliment each other perfectly. There is simply no-one better for the job'.

Bob added: 'When Ray approached me with the idea of rejoining Heritage after a break of 20 years, I frankly jumped at the chance to work alongside him again.

'The dynamics of our personalities works so well together and we have the utmost respect for each others talents and achievements. To my mind it's the perfect partnership. I am really enthusiastic about taking up the challenges that lay ahead in my role as sales and marketing director'.
