The directors behind Norwich-based PR company Tribe have wound down the business to seek new ventures.
Patrick Peal and Donna Chessum have scaled back its work in public relations and will now run the firm as a strategic consultancy.
The move – which has seen six staff lose their jobs – comes after the directors explored selling the company before deciding to keep it going but on a smaller scale.
Mr Peal, who was recently made chief executive of the East of England Air Ambulance Service, said it was the right choice to wind down the business to ensure staff could find new jobs.
He said: 'Donna and I want to start a new chapter of our lives. I have these new opportunities with the East of England Air Ambulance Service, a charity that is extremely close to my heart. It has come along at a time when we were both trying to reshape Tribe, partly for market reasons and because both of us as directors and shareholders were wanting to change our careers.
'We considered selling the business and we looked at many opportunities for a sale, or a merger, but it didn't meet our requirements in terms of what was right for our staff and clients.'
