The Eastern Daily Press has appointed Bethany Whymark as its new business writer.
Bethany graduated in 2013 with a degree in English literature from the University of Exeter. She worked for the Bury Free Press in her home county of Suffolk for 18 months before joining the EDP a year ago as a district reporter.
The 24-year-old, who lives in Norwich, said: 'This is an exciting time to be entering business journalism.
'While I look forward to engaging with some of the big hitters in our regional economy, it will also be an exciting chance to connect with small businesses and start-ups across Norfolk and Suffolk.
'In particular, I'm keen to explore what businesses in the region are doing to help our young people – and what they are doing to help themselves.'
Bethany will also cover the tourism sector in her role.
