The spirit of collaboration and innovation between academia and industry was celebrated at an event at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
An innovation showcase was held at the institution in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs Norwich which showed off the cutting-edge research of UEA academics and some of the dynamic businesses in the Eastern region.
Keynote speaker Marcus Hemsley, creative director at Fountain Partnership and a UEA graduate, talked about starting his strategic digital marketing agency and the 150 guests could visit stands showing off technology such as a virtual reality system to detect concussion and a game to demonstrate how facial recognition works.
Anthony Pryke, eco system manager from Barclays Eagle Labs Norwich, said: 'Events like this, where we can get organisations together to share ideas and give people the confidence to do so, are invaluable.'
