National civil engineering company BAM Nuttall, which has a regional base at Shipdham, near Thetford, is holding a “Meet the Contractor” event near Lowestoft tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28.
The firm is seeking to establish links with local subcontractors and specialist suppliers ahead of a number of major contracts in the region for which it plans to bid.
Mark Rollings, senior bid manager at BAM Nuttall, said that the company was planning to pitch for projects including port development, bridge construction and new-build nuclear energy schemes.
The aim of the Meet the Contractor event was to help ensure that as much of the value of each project as possible was retained in the region through the use of local sub-contractors and suppliers.
Today’s event takes place in The Garden Suite at the Ivy House Country Hotel in Ivy Lane, Oulton Broad, NR33 8HY, from 10am until 2pm. For further details, call Malcolm McAllister 01362 820575, referencing “Meet the Contractor”.
