A pub will be rolling back the clock on its menu to celebrate a hallmark anniversary this March.

The Orange Tree in Thornham is recreating some of the dishes from its original 1974 menu with a one-day-only event which will see old favourites such as crab cocktail and soup of the day make a return.

It was first called the King's Head but changed its name to The Orange Tree in 2004.

Owners Mark and Jo Goode bought the business in 2009 and have since expanded the rooms on offer from six to 17.

A spokeswoman for The Orange Tree said: "Upon rediscovering an original menu from 1974, we thought now would be the perfect opportunity to showcase how the food at this establishment has evolved over the last 50 years.

"Isaac, Laurence and the rest of the kitchen are hard at work applying the finishing touches to the menu, as we look forward to taking you on a trip down memory lane."
