Police are searching for a damaged red Volkswagen after its driver seriously assaulted a man following a car crash in north Norfolk.

An appeal has been issued for local garages and workshops that may have had the car in for repairs.

It is described as an older style, red, three-door Volkswagen hatchback with damage to the front of the vehicle.

CCTV footage of the vehicle was released last Wednesday, showing the hatchback following the crash.

The driver is described as a white man, of a slim build, with a brown and grey beard, and long brown hair in a ponytail.

He was wearing light blue jeans with a green and brown fur-lined coat.

This appeal follows an incident at 11am on Monday, January 29 where following a crash in The Street in Corpusty both drivers got out of their cars where, after a brief conversation, the driver of the hatchback assaulted the driver of the Mitsubishi.
