Disruption is likely next month as a main road into the Norfolk Broads is closed.

Norwich Road in Coltishall will be closed from February 19 to allow Anglian Water to carry out repair work to the bridge, one of the primary routes into the village.

It will restricted from use until midnight on February 21 for a total of three days.

Diversion routes will follow the A1151 and B1354 through Wroxham and Hoveton.

Coltishall has seen an increase in bottlenecking traffic travelling between Norwich and a large area of north Norfolk in recent years.

Many of its residents say cars, lorries and farm vehicles funnel through the village rather than surrounding ones because other routes take much longer.

Others say the situation has worsened since the opening of the NDR, which they claim is sending more motorists their way.
