A pub has reopened in a coastal town after a three year closure.

The Wheelwrights Arms in Gorleston closed its doors during the coronavirus pandemic and was previously planned to be turned into a residential property.

The pub is more than 150 years old and its transformation was turned down by the council "to prevent the permanent loss of a community facility."

It has been up for auction multiple times, in 2021 and again earlier this year.

He said: "We're still finding our feet but I want to turn this back into a traditional family pub again.

"So many people are so excited to see the pub open again."
