A two-year-old rescue dog is in need of a home after his owner suddenly died.

Chico is a mixed breed with traces of whippet and lurcher who was brought to Norfolk after being found on the streets of Romania.

He is currently in the care of Penny Paws Rescue which is a registered charity based in Rockland St Peter near Attleborough.

Gill Jenness from Penny Paws Rescue said: "He just really needs to be back in a home.

"We can't seem to find anybody willing to take him on - but it would be wonderful to see him rehomed by Christmas.

"He's a bit weary at first, but it doesn't take him long to become your best friend."

Chico is a medium-sized dog weighing 19kg and cannot be in a house with cats or children.

He is blood tested, vaccinated and flea and worm treated and can be homed with other dogs, but he would be best suited in a calm household.
