One of Norfolk's biggest fireworks displays has been rescheduled after it was postponed due to Storm Ciarán.

Fawkes in the Walks was set to take place at The Walks in King's Lynn last Friday but flooding forced organisers to postpone.

The free event will now be held this Friday (November 10) between 6pm and 10pm.

A statement from the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk said: "Fawkes in the Walks is currently a go for this Friday.

"Entertainment starts on stage at 6pm with music from Vex.

"BEAR - CLUB will be performing live from 7pm and the fireworks are scheduled to start at 8pm with more music to follow."

The council has asked people to keep following its social media channels in case anything changes in the run-up to the event.

Flood warnings remain in place this week following last week's heavy rain, including on the rivers Waveney, Bure and Ouse, as well as riverways from Thorpe St Andrew to Breydon Water.

Roads in Welney and the surrounding area remain nearly impassable in places as water levels stay at "trigger level".
