Locals have been flocking to a wet-led Norfolk pub to try the roast dinners from a top chef duo.

Slow Roast Sunday recently secured a kitchen residency at The Countryman in Tasburgh, near Long Stratton, from 12noon until 6pm each week.

The chefs are Tobin Gregson and Phil Howes and there is a big focus on local produce and low food miles.

Mr Howes is also a business partner in Tilia Market Garden in nearby Hempnall, which supplies the majority of vegetables for the roasts, including kale, rainbow chard and butternut squash.

There is a choice of either slow roast rump of beef, rolled pork belly or a mushroom and lentil wellington served with all the trimmings and there is also a smaller children's option.

There is a weekly specials board of homemade desserts and takeaways are available for collection on Sundays at 4pm.

Mr Gregson said: "Our farm-to-fork roasts use vegetables from the market garden and everything else is sourced locally like the meat and dairy."

Steve Burley, pub landlord, said: "We have had some brilliant feedback and the numbers are growing week on week."
