The Norfolk winner of Big Brother UK revealed that he "misses it every day" as he shared his thoughts on the ITV revival.

Cameron Cole, now 23, won the 2018 series of the hit reality show and it was the last one to be broadcast on Channel 5.

Mr Cole, who grew up in East Harling and Bridgham, near Thetford, captured the nation's hearts and won a life-changing £100,000 prize.

A few months after leaving the famous house, he met his boyfriend James and he now lives in London and studies psychology at university.

Mr Cole said: "I couldn't believe that my coming out clip featured on Big Brother's Biggest Best Bits last week ahead of the launch - It was an extraordinary moment.

"I am a massive fan and I applied the first year I could - I didn't expect to get in, let alone win.

"When I heard it was coming back to ITV I was very excited."

As a superfan, he queued up to be in the crowd for the pre-recorded launch, filmed on Saturday, and the Big Brother panel show Late & Live on Sunday.

Asked for his advice for the housemates, he added: "It is cliché but you should be yourself - I am not saying everyone has to come out as gay, but embrace the experience and push yourself out of your comfort zone.

"I loved every second of it and miss it every day - weirdly it is the safest place I have ever felt.

"The cast this year is really diverse and it represents the whole of Britain and it isn't just Love Island-type contestants."
