After Wells-next-the-Sea was named one of the best places for a solo trip in the UK by The Guardian, we have rounded up some other great Norfolk spots.
1. Wells-next-the-Sea
We agree with The Guardian that this seaside town is a great destination for a solo holiday, with its charming quay lined with various gift stores and two of Norfolk's best fish and chip shops - Platten's and French's.
A scenic walk up Beach Road will take you to a huge expanse of golden sand lined with colourful beach huts.

2. Norwich
There is so much to do as a solo traveller in Norwich, a city rich in history, with plenty of places to explore such as the Museum of Norwich at the Bridwell and Norwich Cathedral.
If you don't fancy dining in a restaurant on your own then grab everything from empanadas to hog roast at the famous market, which you can take inside the neighbouring pub The Garnet providing you buy a drink there.

3. Holt
From antiques to unique gifts, Holt is packed with independent shops and it can be enjoyed all year round.
Byfords is not only a deli, café and restaurant but also a conveniently located B&B in the centre of the town.
If you visit on the first Sunday of the month between April and December there is a huge makers' and street food market with live music.

4. Aylsham
Aylsham has been on the rise in recent years with lots of fantastic new food and drink openings, including Stamp Pizza and Bar and M's of Aylsham cocktail and tapas bar.
It is the perfect place for a potter around on your own and there are great cafés, such as Biddy's Tea Room and Bread Source, and independent shops.
It is also very close to the National Trust's Blickling Estate, where you can explore the Jacobean mansion and its picturesque gardens and grounds.

5. Thornham
Escape the hustle and bustle in charming Thornham, which is a great base for exploring the Norfolk coast.
The Lifeboat Inn has a range of cosy bedrooms and from there, it is just a short walk up to Thornham Old Harbour.
Top local chef Eric Snaith runs sister businesses Eric's Fish and Chips and Eric's Pizza at Drove Orchards, where you will also find Wild Luxury glamping.

6. Reepham
This market town is a real Norfolk gem and it is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Marriotts Way by foot or bike.
There are also plenty of brilliant things to do in the area such as visiting Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station, which also has camping and caravan pitches, two static caravans and a shepherd's hut.

7. Hemsby
Hemsby offers the best of both worlds as it is just a short drive away from the many attractions in Great Yarmouth but it is also close to Ormesby Broad - ideal for a picturesque and relaxing walk.
Hemsby itself is a lively village resort with a sandy beach and many holiday parks.
