An older pooch needs a forever home after he was returned to a rescue centre due to his owner falling ill.

Danny, an 11-year-old Border Collie cross, was adopted from Dogs Trust Snetterton in 2016 but was recently returned to the charity after his owner was unable to take care of him.

He is now searching for a calm and comfortable retirement home where he can enjoy the rest of his days.

Dogs Trust describes Danny as an "older gentleman" who "snoozes the day away".

Danny likes peace and quiet so would prefer a home where he is the only pet and the youngest people are older teens.

He needs to take pain relief for age-related aches and pains so he does not need much exercise.

The charity says a couple of short walks to "potter about the neighbourhood" would suit Danny well and he would also love a garden to lounge around in.
