A dog rescued from imminent danger of being put down is in need of a new home in Norfolk.

Cherry, a Staffordshire bull terrier and retriever cross, first came to Meadowgreen Dog Rescue Centre in Hales as a stray from a northern pound.

The one-year-old was narrowly saved from being euthanised.

Cherry requires some training due to her bouncy, puppy-like behaviour, so is best suited to an adult-only home with owners that have some previous dog-handling experience.

She is house-trained and has started to learn to heel on the lead.

Cherry is very friendly and sociable with other dogs and people and has a loving and affectionate nature.

She is waiting for adoption at Meadowgreen Dog Rescue Centre in Hales, which is a family-run centre that rehomes more than 100 dogs every year.
