Norfolk has been featured in the latest episode of a well-known BBC show, with its villages and coastline proving to be a desired destination for would-be home buyers.

In the latest episode of Escape to the County, presenter Denise Nurse explored the delights of Norfolk while helping Max and Susan, a couple from Surrey, find their dream county retreat.

The couple chose Norfolk due to its "slice of countryside living within easy reach of the coast".

The programme, shown at 3pm on Tuesday, May 30, also featured North Walsham which Julie, a local business owner, described as having "a real sense of community spirit" with many "shops, coffee places and eateries".

The last house visited was in Hindolveston, near Holt, where a £595,000 newly converted barn was eyed up by the couple, who were enamoured with its location and interior.

Max and Susan planned to put in an offer on the property after it gave them the "feeling of being at home".
