A jewellery shop in Fakenham is up for sale as the current owner is looking to move abroad.

Ross Chapman, 24, owns J Metcalf Jewellers in Upper Market Place in Fakenham.

After running the shop for two years, Mr Chapman has launched a search to find someone to take over as he plans to move away.

"We're known for our repairs and people in the town trust us with their valuable jewellery and watches, so it's a shame to be leaving Norfolk," he said.

The shop has been a jewellers since 1996 and Mr Chapman hopes that the building's legacy will be carried on when it changes hands.

He added: "We've been there for two years and it has taken time to get the shop how I wanted, whoever takes over the lease has a great opportunity."

There will be a chance to buy the leftover stock before Mr Chapman leaves the UK and he hopes a new owner will be found by the end of August.
