Six new homes could be built in a Norfolk village.

Bee Developments has applied for planning permission for land off the Litcham Road at Mileham, near King's Lynn.

It says in a planning statement: "The site is located on the south side of Litcham Road, Mileham.

"The site is currently characterised as an undeveloped, agricultural field. The site is adjoined by residential development to the east and north.

"The proposed dwellings adopt a traditional design approach that sympathetically reflects the character of the surrounding area while not diluting the historic character and value of development in Mileham."

Bee's planning application states the properties will be four-bedroom houses.

Mileham Parish Council says affordable homes included in earlier plans have been removed.

In a letter to Breckland Council's planning department, it adds: "We believe that the village needs more affordable homes for the younger generation of the parish."

It is also concerned one of the proposed entrances to the site, opposite Manor Terrace, will block an under-road gully and cause drainage problems.
