A wood-fired pizza business opened to a full restaurant and satisfied customers.

Stamp Pizza opened its doors for the first time yesterday (Thursday, March 30) and is hoping to continue the success of its opening night.

Lorraine and Vik Khanna and Sean Cannon have transformed the town’s former post office building into Stamp Pizza, which will have seating for more than 100 diners over two floors.

Lorraine Khanna said: "The opening went well and the locals were interested in how we kept the original architecture of the building."

"We've had positive feedback and it's great to finally see the finished product of the restaurant."

Mr Cannon said: "Many Aylsham residents will recall their trips to the post office and we hope it will bring back memories and a touch of nostalgia in a contemporary setting."

The building, which is just off Market Place in Hungate Street, was last used as a post office in 2011, and in recent years it has been occupied by a fitness centre.
