1. Fizz and Fromage, Hoveton

Where: Station Road, Hoveton, NR12 8QJ

This fabulous cheese and wine restaurant, with the same owners as The Station Smokehouse nearby, opened in 2021 and it even serves a bottomless brunch on Saturdays.

It has just welcomed Dollie's Bakery into the space, which runs a daytime café there with pastries, breakfast buns and much more.

2: The Goat Shed, Honingham

Where: Colton Road, Honingham, NR9 5DJ

You can meet the goats behind the award-winning Fielding Cottage cheeses while dining in the café, which serves a range of breakfasts, lunches and cakes. 

In the farm shop itself, the deli has just been revamped and includes a huge selection of cheeses to take home with many local varieties.

3: Star Plain Stores, Holt

Where: 8 Fish Hill, Holt, NR25 6BD

Tom Brady opened Star Plain Stores in Holt in May 2021 and what started as just a deli has now expanded into the neighbouring premises with a cheese and wine lounge.

This year he has launched fondue nights, which will run on various dates throughout 2023.

4. The Norfolk Deli, Hunstanton

Where: 16 Greevegate, Hunstanton, PE36 6AA

Up in west Norfolk, this award-winning deli offers a huge range of cheeses from across the county and beyond and it also boasts a café.

The owners, Mark and Rosie Kacary, have also just launched exclusive cheese subscription boxes, which you can register for online.

5. Salt, Norwich

Where: 21 St John Maddermarket, Norwich, NR2 4AF

Salt is the savoury sister business of neighbouring dessert spot Figbar and both are owned by couple Stephanie and Jaime Garbutt.

The menu includes a grilled raclette Croque Monsieur and soup with a grilled cheese toastie.
