When one door closes another one opens as a much-loved Norfolk bakery will soon be launching a café inside the neighbouring restaurant.

Jemima Wood, 26, announced earlier this month on social media that she would be shutting Dollies Bakery at Station Business Park in Hoveton.

She said: "As you are aware, over the last six months there have been some drastic changes in our economy, more specifically the soaring electricity and for us, ingredient costs too.

"As a result of this, it is no longer viable for us to run the bakery from our current unit, which has been a heartbreaking decision to make."

But all is not lost, as from February 7 Dollies Bakery is launching a café inside the cheese and wine restaurant Fizz and Fromage, at the same site, from 8am to 3pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Tim Ridley, owner, said: "Recently we have attended several farmers' markets together, which have been a rip-roaring success.

"To be working in the same building and be able to offer customers the opportunity to drink their coffee and eat all their sweet and savoury bakes inside (as well as taking them away too) is a real bonus for all."
