The work has already started and will continue over the next few months until the end of November,

The second phase of a revamp of the town's bus station, costing £38,700 is under way. The station is closed with temporary bus stops elsewhere and diversions in place for motorists.

Other works, which include footpath improvements and resurfacing work, are being carried out in Cromer by Norfolk County Council's highways department alongside BT, Anglian Water and National Grid Gas among others and will continue until around mid-November.

Letters have been delivered to town traders by Norfolk County Council's highways department explaining the work, and apologising for any inconvenience caused.

A spokesman for Cromer Town Council added: 'The works have been co-ordinated to take place over as short a time scale as possible and where necessary will be followed by resurfacing of the roads.

'Whilst there may be some inconvenience, the end result will be the completion of the works to the bus station, new footways, improved broadband, completion of other utility works and resurfaced roads.'

The western side of Prince of Wales Road is currently closed to enable footpath works to be carried out. Motorists are being diverted around West Street, Beach Road and the Runton Road.

Westbound buses are leaving from stops on Louden Road and on Beach Road outside Morrisons. For eastbound and Norwich services bus users should use Beach Road opposite Morrisons.
