A north Norfolk business has named a new non-executive chairman to see the group to its 250th anniversary.
CT Baker Group, which is made up of Bakers & Larners of Holt, CT Baker Builders' Merchants and CT Baker Budgens, has appointed Jane Gurney-Read to the helm.
She takes up the role having joined the company as a non-executive director in 2009 before taking on an executive role for five years.
Her experience includes working on Debenhams board and as head of personnel at Heal & Sons.
Malcolm Baker has stepped down from the role after five years but will remain a director.
C T Baker Group managing director Michael Baker said: 'With the impending arrival of our 250th anniversary celebrations in 2020 I felt that a Norfolk based chairman would be of great benefit to me. I would like to thank my cousin Malcolm for his help over the last 5 years and look forward to seeing him back in harness in the future.'
