The EDP Business Awards 2017 Business of the Year has demonstrated how a company can use innovation to drive growth.

Lintott Control Systems, based in Bowthorpe, Norwich, has been transformed by managing director David Owen and chief operating officer Jamie Thums.

The business manufactures and assembles water treatment systems for companies including Anglian Water and has grown rapidly since a turnaround plan was put in place in 2012.

The success of the turnaround caught the eye of the judges of the Business of the Year, sponsored by Barclays.

Director Mark Davy said: “Our success is not just down to us, it is the hard work of everyone at the business.

“Taking the business from where it was to where it is now has meant getting the team to buy in to that revolution.

“We want to be a leader in our sector and we are still in the middle of that journey.”
