As Norfolk Day approaches dozens of organisations are planning a variety of events to celebrate. This week we focus on what the Women's Institute groups are doing.
Lavender bombing, a painted rock hunt, litter pick and Norfolk cake giveaway.
These are just some of the events going on across the county on Friday, July 27, thanks to Women's Institute (WI) groups.
As well as the individual celebrations, the Norfolk Federation of Women's Institutes, which represents 158 WI groups across Norfolk, will opening its Georgian headquarters in Norwich on Norfolk Day from 10.30am-3pm.
Margaret Collingwood, federation chairman, said: 'We are really excited.'
The free open day at Evelyn Suffield House on All Saint's Green, called A Slice of Norfolk WI Life will include an opportunity for people to explore the federation's garden; find out about the current WI national campaign Link Together which tackles loneliness; and enjoy a free slice of cake.
Mary Dorrell, chairman of the federation's communications team, said: 'Norfolk Day is about shouting about what is great in the county.'
WI events organised so far include:
?Barford, Wramplingham and District WI is decorating a bus shelter, focussing on the contribution from Norfolk's WI groups to the Norfolk Bus Forum;
?Caister-on-Sea WI is working with Caister on Sea Community Centre, on Beach Road, and hosting a children's cake decorating activity and competition. Registration forms will be available from community centre;
?Norwich All Saints WI is helping the Salvation Army soup kitchen;
?The Pickenhams' WI is decorating North Pickenham's Blue Lion pub and giving out Norfolk cake;
?Members of North Walsham's Rock Buns and Rolling Pins WI will give out lavender posies to local residents;
?Sheringham WI is hosting a Norfolk cake stall on Ottendorf Green;
?Southery WI is doing a village litter pick. Members will sing hymns and hold an afternoon tea in the church;
?Swallowtail WI in Sprowston is hiding painted rocks around the area. People can paint garden rocks with the WI-themed designs.

Norfolk Day shop
An online shop has been launched selling Norfolk Day marketing material which event organisers can display on the day.
The shop is selling a four-pack of flags, four-pack of A3 posters and 20 balloons at £4, while 5m of bunting is £7.50.
Celebration packs containing all of the above are available for £15.
Norfolk Day takes place on Friday, July 27 and is intended as a day of fun in which individuals, community groups and businesses are encouraged to get involved by hosting or participating in events.
The initiative was launched by the EDP and Norwich Evening News in partnership with BBC Radio Norfolk and has the backing of business and community organisations who are planning events for the day.
Details of events will be revealed in the newspaper, online and via social media.
