Stephen Fry is set to include Norwich in a one-off live show beamed to cinemas around the UK. Cinema City will be among picture houses around the country screening a one-man show by the Canaries' newest board member.

Fry will be on stage at London's Royal Festival Hall, to promote his new autobiography, on September 13.

'Sadly, nearly all the tickets for it have been bought by someone called Arnold,' Fry said online. 'But never mind, as part of a thrilling experiment, the September 13 event will be broadcast from the Royal Festival Hall direct via satellite to selected cinemas all over the country live, as it actually happens.

'If you can bear to join me, get a ticket, bring some popcorn and a friend and make a party of it.'

While he won't be joining them on the Carrow Road pitch, Stephen Fry believes he can help the Canaries score via his presence on social networking site Twitter. His followers are given a running commentary on his travels and much of his daily life, via a stream of one-liners.

Silent throughout City's away game with Scunthorpe, Grant Holt's winning goal in stoppage time brought an almost immediate 'Woo! Grant Holt at the last minute. Norwich 1 Scunthorpe 0 #NCFC'.
