A popular Simon and Garfunkel tribute act will be returning to Bungay to stage a stripped back and intimate performance.

The Sounds of Simon will be appearing at The Fisher Theatre, in Broad Street, on Friday, May 18.

A theatre spokesman said: 'The show is a celebration of the early days of Simon and Garfunkel and evokes the early New York coffee house shows the duo played back in the 60s.

Adam Ellis, who plays Art Garfunkel, added: 'This is a chance to hear the songs as they originally sounded - just two voices and one guitar in a hushed room.'

The show covers early classics such as 'The Sounds of Simon' and 'Homeward Bound' as well as seldom head numbers like 'A Poem on the Underground Wall' and will be accompanied by archival 60s footage of the duo which tells the story of their early days.

Tickets, costing £13, are available from the box office on 01986 897 130 or online at www.fishertheatre.org
