Enrolle, enrolle! That will be the cry as crowds roll up to see the Spanish National Circus, which has started its run in Norfolk on the final leg of its first UK tour in more than 20 years.
It is the only time the show has visited the county and organisers said it could be the last for another two decades.
Coming direct from Madrid, the performances at a heated big top at the Royal Norfolk Showground in Costessey will run until November 26 and feature death-defying stunts, feats of human strength and endurance, displays by Andalucian horses, ballet and clowns.
Organiser Carolyn Roberts said: “We have had so much interest already, we are buzzing. This is a great venue for the circus and it is good to end the tour here.
“The last UK tour was in 1983 and I know it might be another 20 years before they perform again here.”
t Weekday performances are at 5pm and 7.45pm, with weekend shows at 2pm and 5pm. The circus is on every day except this Friday, November 17, and next Wednesday, November 22.
t Tickets are £12 for adults and £8 for children. Call 07821 231 232 or visit the box office at the showground. Unreserved seats will also be available on the night before each performance.
