The Richard Alston Dance Company has three new works for its visit to Norwich Theatre Royal on Tuesday and Wednesday (8pm).

Founder Richard Alston has written Lazy River, inspired by American songwriter Hoagy Carmichael. It promises toe-tapping, music involving the whole company.

Body and Soul, written by one of the company's founding dancers Martin Lawrance, is set to Schumann's Dichterliebe for piano and tenor voice.

The final part of the three-part programme is Fingerprint - also by Richard Alston.

This pairs up Bach's Capriccio for keyboard with the D major Toccata and celebrates both bravura and subtlety.

The company has been nominated for a company award in the Critics' Circle National Dance Awards while company dancer, Jonathan Goddard, has been nominated as Best Male Dancer in the same awards.
