Everyone's favourite Blondie is performing at Thetford Forest on Saturday as part of the Forestry Commission's series Forest Live. Fronted by Debbie Harry, they will be performing some of their greatest hits from the 20 year span of number one hits, such as Heart of Glass, Call Me, The Tide is High and many more. With 40 million plus album sales, Blondie is well worth seeing, along with special guests The Lightening Seeds. The arena opens at 6pm with music starting at 7:30pm. Step back in time to 1920s New York City at the Apex in North Walsham on Saturday, where Harlem's hottest nightclub, The Cotton Club is going to be re-created for one night. This action-packed show celebrates the music, dance and songs from the Cotton Club which saw its hay days in the 20s and 30s with the likes of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington performing at the club. Music will be performed by Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra, with the dance routines recreated by the jiving Lindy Hoppers. The event starts at 7:30pm with tickets costing £20. The return of Superman to our screens is finally here with Man Of Steel (12A), directed by Zack Snyder with help from Christopher Nolan who successfully revived the Batman series. Man of Steel follows the life of Superman, played by Henry Cavill, with his planet in peril he is sent to Earth, crashing in to the farm of the Kent family, where he is adopted by the family calling his Clark. Growing up in Smallville, Clark realises he is different from the other children, causing him to seek his destiny years later. Lois Lane is of course back as Daily Planet reporter who keeps Clark's secret until the very people who threatened his home planet come to attack Earth.

Welborne Arts Festival near Mattishall returns for its tenth outing on both Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 4:30pm. This is the biggest village-based contemporary arts festival in Norfolk, and will feature films, dance music, comedy and much more. Four short plays written by Wymondham writers Four by Four will also be shown at the event, along with music from local young people accompanied by two members of the Britten Sinfonia on Saturday at 2:30pm. There are also many events that you can take part in such as having a go at Bollywood dance. The festival is organised by the local community and is based at in the meadow close to All Saints Church.
