Got nothing to do this weekend? Well here are just a few of the events that are happening over the weekend to keep you busy.

This weekend the cinema is offering Silver Linings Playbook (15), which brings together both comedy and tragedy in a film that will have you laughing and crying at the same time. After school teacher Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) finds his wife with another man who he then beats up, Pat is sent to a psychiatric facility as part of a plea bargain. He then returns home to his parents were he meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) who makes Pat her partner for a dance competition. With an excellent cast and a lot of emotion, Silver Linings Playbook provides a great opportunity to sit back and laugh along with this comedy.

To get you in the Christmassy mood, Sandringham is holding its Christmas Craft Show, from Friday to Sunday. Stalls will include many different arts and crafts, along with regional food and drink, gifts and craft demonstrations. Santa will also be making an appearance at his grotto with some of his owl friends, which includes Smurf the African Spotted Eagle Owl. This year will also feature a special Christmas panto which will be Dick Whittington. For a journey into the history of Norwich, Norwich Cathedral is holding a new family festival in its cloisters celebrating the 'Strangers.' The 'Strangers' brought a number of Dutch and Flemish Protestants to Norwich who helped trade with mainland Europe in 16th and 17th, also introducing new techniques and pet canaries, which later became the mascot of Norwich City FC. This Saturday (10am till 4:30pm) and Sunday (12 till 3pm) families can take part in activities that will give them the opportunity to journey back in time. Norwich puppet Theatre is offering Saturday afternoon fun for all the family with When Eggy Met Peggy. The Queen is in her allotment, when she hears a rumour that a fruit or vegetable under a pile of mattresses will reveal who will become a princess for her son. The Queen then finds the best way to discover the perfect specimen, which of course is a Grand Talent Competition. If you like classic literature then join Robert Powell on stage at St George's Theatre, Great Yarmouth on Sunday at 7:30pm. Robert will be looking at the many lives of Charles Dickens to coincide with the bicentenary of his birth.
