Dereham Memorial Hall
Dereham Memorial Hall
It was a night of cheering, clapping the hands and singing along as 20 amateur artists brought the charm of Victorian vaudeville to Dereham.
Actors from Dereham's Operatic Society wowed the audience as they took turns in singing, dancing and telling mildly saucy jokes during a rousing performance of the Old Time Music Hall at the town's Memorial Hall.
Well-known melodies such as Oh, I do like to be by the Seaside, and Let's all go to the Music Hall, were welcomed by young and old who sang along the artists aged between nine and 70.
The performance which will be put on again tomorrow is one of a series of events prepared by the Society every year.
t The Music Hall will be performed again on Friday, June 8, at 7.30pm Tickets cost £6. For more information call 01362 851919.
