Theatre enthusiasts have today been able to tread the boards of the Norwich Theatre Royal after the curtain was raised for an open day.
Special guided tours took visitors to the parts of the theatre which are normally closed to the public, including the star dressing rooms and lighting and sound boxes.
The free family open day even allowed people to step out on to the stage, where interactive activities on stage, face painting for children and a host of games were being held.
There was also the first opportunity to browse around the newly refurbished Kemp's Restaurant.
The theatre's work on improving access was also highlighted, with information on performances which feature sign language, captioning and audio description, as well as details about an autism-friendly performance of this year's pantomime, Cinderella.
