Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra is tuning up for its latest concert celebrating the music of Mahler later this week.

The orchestra, conducted by Matthew Andrews, will perform Mahler's Symphony No.9 in D Major at Norwich's St Andrew's Hall on Saturday, December 9.

It follows Norwich Phil's performances in recent years of the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 8th Symphonies. The 8th Symphony was especially memorable as it saw Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus joined by musicians and choirs from across Norfolk for a special 175th anniversary concert as part of the 2016 Norfolk and Norwich Festival. The 9th Symphony is Mahler's last complete symphony,

The concert starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, December 9 at St Andrew's Hall.

Tickets cost £11-£17 (under 26s £7) and are available from St George's Music Shop, in St George's Street, Norwich, by calling 01603 626414, or visiting www.norwichphil.org.uk.
