Two Norwich bands, the Neutrinos and Halfway Hero, are getting into gear for their trips to Norwich's twin town Novi Sad in Serbia to appear at the prestigious Exit Festival by playing a fundraising show for the Muzica Organisation at Norwich Arts Centre tonight (8pm).
Muzica is the body that works with the twinning committee to help bands from Norwich perform at the Exit Festival, was first held in 2000 and has grown in stature and significance each year since. For 2008 it will entertain 190,000 music fans with acts including the Gossip, Paul Weller, Primal Scream, Roni Size, Gogol Bordello - and art-rockers the Neutrinos and Halfway Heroes.
The Neutrinos are no strangers to globetrotting, having already taken their loud throbbing art-punk noise and sexy, urgent energy to festivals in Berlin, Belgium, Holland and Canada.
Halfway Hero blend loud guitars and poetic lyrics, but will play an acoustic set at NAC.
The two bands are joined tonight by the punk-influenced folk of Mustard City Rockers and hardcore punk mettallers Project Mork.
