A Norfolk treasure hunt that has historically seen some of radio's favorite voices rushing across the county, meeting some of the region's famous faces and even heading out to sea, is returning to the Norwich Playhouse.

The live performances of BBC Radio Norfolk's Treasure Quest, will take place on Saturday, November 7, at 3.30pm and 7.30pm to raise money for Children in Need.

The event will bring the whole team together for the seventh year, including the editor of BBC Radio Norfolk and presenter of the show, David Clayton and clue-hunter Sophie Little.

David Clayton, said: 'It is a really funny show and people love it because they are all fans. We all do it for the fun and don't script it.

'I don't know what's going to happen before we go on, it is produced by someone called the quest master.'

The radio show sees five clues hidden anywhere in the county, one leading to the next and the final revealing the location of the treasure envelope.

Sophie Little battles all weather looking for them in the radio car, fighting against the clock to reveal the prize before the 11.55am deadline.

With the pressure turned up, David Clayton is the map reader helping with the quest from within the studio - renowned for his map mishaps - the two presenters are a comedy duo brightening up Sunday mornings.

Hoping for a repeat performance of last year's sellout shows - which raised more than £3,000 for the charity - Mr Clayton added: 'Five pounds from every ticket goes to charity and Pudsey will be helping us on stage.'
