The final two Normal For Norfolk shows at Norwich Playhouse have been cancelled after comedian Karl Minns returned to hospital on Wednesday night.
The theatre had already cancelled a string of performance after an attack which left the 37-year-old with a fractured skull and other injuries. He returned to hospital to see an eye specialist and was kept in over night for further checks.
General manager Caroline Richardson apologised for the inconvenience caused to customers but promised the shows will be rescheduled once Mr Minns recovers. The theatre will contact all ticket holders who will be given priority for next year's shows.
Police are continuing to investigate and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
